Bopworx – launching on Kickstarter

Gary

am writing to introduce you to my new brand of bicycle accessories and to ask for your support.

Every cyclist knows and has experienced the scratches and dings that can occur while traveling with the bike. This insight has led me to develop the first Bopworx range or six patent-pending bike protection and storage accessories.

Starting a business from scratch and launching to the world is no small task, but with the help of my wife Ciara, we have almost done it. We don’t have big budgets, so we are launching the first collection of Bopworx products on Kickstarter today.

Please take a look at the Kickstarter page, share our campaign with club members, friends and family by forwarding this email and sharing on Facebook and Twitter. If you like what you see, please back the campaign and be one of the first people in the world to have Bopworx products in your hands this fall AND at a special Kickstarter price.

If you share the campaign and let us know, we will do three things:

  1. Put your club into a draw to win a complete set of Bopworx products.

  2. Add your club name to the back of our Kickstarter ‘founders’ T-shirt and to our website friends page.

  3. Invite you onto our ‘beta-test’ program, so your members can feedback on future product ideas and concepts before we launch them.

As a fellow cycling enthusiast, I hope you like what we are trying to achieve – a couple of quick clicks would help us along our journey!

Thanks in advance,

Paul McGriskin

L’Etape de Mann

On the 13th of April Paul Phillips, a long time supporter of Loaghtan Loaded MTB and the Longest Day, Longest Ride (www.ldlr.im), will be taking part in what we are calling ‘L’etape de Mann’ which will be a charity cycle ride on the Isle of Man emulating the 2014 Etape du Tour in terms of distance covered and meters climbed. The 2014 Etape will cross the infamous Col du Tourmalet and Hautacam Tour de France climbs and will ascend a total of 3500 meters in 98 miles.

His ride will cover the same mileage and go up the same total ascent as the Etape, but all on the famous cycling roads of the Isle of Man. Joining him on the ride will be a small number of local cycling friends along with a handful of well known competitors from the Isle of Man TT Races.

It isn’t a race! But it will be a very challenging ride aimed at raising money for Rebecca House Children’s Hospice.

Rebecca House is a children’s wing in the Isle of Man Hospice. It is a purpose-built facility that opened in November 2007 and it provides respite, palliative and end of life care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions from birth to 18 years. Rebecca House offers a safe haven and a home from home environment in which physical, emotional, recreational and spiritual care is offered and implemented in a way appropriate to the child and their family.

As most of you may know, Rebecca House helped care for Paul’s son Freddie when he first came to the Isle of Man after being born and spending many months in Liverpool where he was very poorly and gave his family tremendous support at a very difficult time.

Please help us raise as much money as possible for Rebecca House by sponsoring him on his ride on April the 13th 2014. Donations can be made at… http://www.justgiving.com/letapedumann.

Many thanks

Paul
