Social Evening…UPDATE!

Gadge would like to thank everyone that expressed an interest and attended the Loaghtan Loaded Social Evening at the Horse & Plough, I think it is safe to say everyone that attended enjoyed the good food and even better company 😉  and hopes that we have made some new friends and maybe even gained a few more in to our merry flock.

Thanks again and see you all very soon, some sooner than others, on the trails!

Saturday 28th Social Evening

For all those people that expressed an interest and confirmed you are attending, please see the menus below.  We have booked a table for 7.30pm at the Horse & Plough under the name ‘Cooper’ for us all and would ask that we look to arrive between 7pm and 7.30pm. As they stop serving food at 8.15pm we thought it best if we pre-order the food, so can you please let us know by Friday evening at the latest what you would like from the below menus.

If anyone has any allergies or special dietary requirements can you please contact the Horse & Plough direct on 626060 and order your food with them, making sure to tell them it is with the ‘Cooper’ party.

Any problems please let us know as soon as possible and we look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday.

Social Rides

Good News!  Our regular social rides will resume normal service with effect Monday 23rd July.  We would like to apologise for the lack of social activity over the last few weeks which has been due to a number of factors, LDLR 24hr event preparation and recovery, holidays and foul weather.

Regular social rides will resume from Monday and if there are any volunteers for ride leaders (for want of a better term) then please get in touch with Coops (M: 481793 or E: coops@loaghtanloaded.com).

Social Rides and LDLR Trail Building

Hi All.

I know it’s a busy time of the week/year, with TT races etc…
I also know a few are managing to get out safely on their bikes for rides and training etc…
Unfortunately I for one haven’t been able to get out, due to various commitments etc…

But normal social ride service will continue after the Longest Day,Longest Ride event which is just around the corner…… 16/17th June!

We still have quite a bit of work to do up at Conrhenny in preparation for the event so we propose having a further trail building session this Saturday 9th June, 09:00am.
Bring shovels, wheelbarrows, saws, racks etc……and please remember……

Many hands make light work!

Look forward to seeing a few of you up there on Saturday.

Cheers

‘I Hate You TT’ by Chris Waller

One of our founding members shares his love hate of the TT Races.

*WARNING*

Contains strong language, you have been warned!

Each and every June
Of each and every year
My normal life is shattered
By motorbikes and beer.

All over facebook
The TT Bells do chime
‘Come party everbody,
Its fucking TT Time’

I may stand alone
In my hate of all this shit,
But I don’t like you TT
Not One God Damn Fucking Bit

I don’t like your shitty beers
Or your cheap white plastic tents,
Or the way you rip off tourists
With your shitty fucking rents.

Or the way that all the wankers
Seem to crawl out from the wood
Make us all look like dickheads
Like we’re from some shitty hood.

I don’t like the fucking funfair
With its shitty fucking rides,
And the fact you pay five quid
Just to risk your fucking life.

But I really hate the bikers
Who put my life at risk,
By pretending to be racers
When really their just dicks!

Your riding aint that great
And your leathers aren’t that cool,
You’re not some sacred cult
It’s much more like a band of fools.

So next time you think of TT
And the wait just seems too long
Thank god we’re nearly halfway
And it’s nearly fucking gone.

Social Rides Week Commencing 28th May

Another fantastic weekend, the weather was fantastic.
We got quite a bit done on the trail building at Conrhenny, in readiness for the Longest Day, Longest Ride.

With it being practice week, and race week, next week some people may find it difficult to get out / or away from the course.

But for those that are able, whose up for a ride/s…

Cat is hosting a ride for Tuesday 29th May.
Venue : Castletown Fire Station.
Time : 6:30pm (I know that I’m going to be late, due to roads etc…….)
Route : Something around the South of the island.

If you are wanting a lift down South, get in touch, and we can sort something out.

As for the rest of the week, I’ve got Coastguard exercise on Wednesday, and Coastguard patrol Thursday.
So if anybody wants to orgainse a ride, let me know and I’ll forward the details on.

Let me know either way.

Cheers
