The return of Hooperman! The Hooperman side!

Read the latest Ride Blog by Sinbad and see just what he and Seamus got up to on Sunday.

As I had a semi free pass for the weekend, I decided to fit in some yakking on the Sat night and a ride on Sunday, with the offer of Mr Shea to join me we decided to have a little pootle and a pub stop.

Seamus arrived at mine just before 13:00 and the sun was cracking the flags. We decided to head out towards Conrhenny via honey hill so I could show Seamus the work completed on the Saturday morning. Honey hill was a nice climb to get the legs going especially with DUST!!! Why not click HERE to read more.

New photographs added to the Gallery

One of our founder members took a few hours out one Saturday for a photo shoot around Conrhenny Plantation with a young and very talented photographer, Amy Bannister.  Please be sure to head on over to the Gallery Page where you will find not one but THREE galleries of Amy’s fantastic shots.

I think you will all agree once you have seen the photographs she is one very talented young lady who we all hope to see out again very shortly and wish her all the best for the future.

The return of Hooperman!

To miss riding out on such a beautiful day and with near perfect conditions would have been remiss, let alone a crime of scandalous proportions! So it was a meet up at Sinbad’s and off the two of us went. Usual warm up road section up to Clypse and on up the saturating and ever changing topography of Honey Hill – The aim was… Why not click HERE to read more.

Social Rides Week Commencing 28th May

Another fantastic weekend, the weather was fantastic.
We got quite a bit done on the trail building at Conrhenny, in readiness for the Longest Day, Longest Ride.

With it being practice week, and race week, next week some people may find it difficult to get out / or away from the course.

But for those that are able, whose up for a ride/s…

Cat is hosting a ride for Tuesday 29th May.
Venue : Castletown Fire Station.
Time : 6:30pm (I know that I’m going to be late, due to roads etc…….)
Route : Something around the South of the island.

If you are wanting a lift down South, get in touch, and we can sort something out.

As for the rest of the week, I’ve got Coastguard exercise on Wednesday, and Coastguard patrol Thursday.
So if anybody wants to orgainse a ride, let me know and I’ll forward the details on.

Let me know either way.

Cheers
Coops

A Big Thanks!

On behalf of the organising committee of the Longest Day, Longest Ride and Loaghtan Loaded MTB I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone that has been giving up their spare time to help prepare the course for the event.

Without your dedication and support the course would have been considerably different.  I must also extend our thanks to Jason Bolt and Graeme Watson from DEFA for their kind permission to undertake work and their support and belief in our club and the event.

Social Rides Week Commencing 21st May

Hope you’ve all had a good weekend.
I know a few have been out, enjoying the fine weather.

Just to let you all know, I’ve got a very busy week, this week so I’ll not be attending any rides.

Tuesday I’ve got Coastguard patrol.
Wednesday night I’m building flat-pack for friends, who’ve just moved into new house (which Rachel & I have been at all weekend painting).
Thursday night I’ll be at Conrhenny plantation, for trail building in readiness for the 24hr LDLR.
If you fancy lending a hand in trail building, get in touch.

Normal rides will continue the following week.
Sorry again.
But if anybody wants to organise any rides, let me know and I’ll send out email etc.

Cheers
Coops

18 went out, 15 came back!

Read the latest Ride Blog by Foxdale and see just what the boys got up to on Thursday night.

The ride started at St Johns (Home turf for the Loaghtans). Once all the runners and riders were ready the 18 of us set off like the start of the Grand National (some of them were past their sell by date and should be at the glue factory). Why not click HERE to read more.

That eternal question “where were you when…..”

What happened; Firstly it was Coops what done it; I’ve said it and it’s out; impeach me if you must, just don’t make me ride those steps again.

The Flock met at the Cat; some regulars missing, and a guest appearance by the Hobbit. Coops had a plan to ride uphill into every headwind going. So we set off into a headwind towards the Clypse.  Why not click HERE to read more.
