Social Rides Week Commencing 27th February 2017

Hi All,

Well the weather hasn’t been great this last week or weekend.
It doesn’t look good for this week either, according to the weather man.

So let’s see what happens…….
I’ve got a meeting on Tuesday, so if anyone wants to be trail leader or organise a ride, please get in touch.

Date : Thursday 2nd March
Time : 6.30 – 6.4pm
Venue : Union Mills industrial estate opposite Spar.

A note for your diaries Sunday 12th March, will be the next TrailQuest.
This time it’s Base /start will Kirk Michael football club.

First Aid Training Course

The ewe’s and ram’s at Loaghtan Loaded are teaming up with local First Aid trainers to train some of their flock to RYA standard and are offering the opportunity for any other cyclists to become fully RYA First Aid trained at the same time.

If you are a regular on any of the Misfits, Laxey Circus, Loaghtan Loaded, or other cycling groups then this could be the perfect opportunity to gain valuable first aid skills which will benefit your group.

The cost of the course will be FREE!

All we ask in return for this invaluable training is that you sign up to help support this years Conister Bank Longest Day Longest Ride. You will be provided with all the essential equipment and can work in shifts with other people, so you do not have to do the full 24 hours; so long as we have two people on-site at all times we are covered. You’ll even be fed and watered!

The social rides are now back to two a week. So hopefully you’ll be able to join us on one.

I also like the extra bit of protection at the lower part of the lower back part of the head, in fact, when it’s tightened up via the adjustable dial it doesn’t even come off easily with the chinstrap detached. ‘Been waiting for this lid since I saw a sneak peak at The 2016 London Bike Show… well worth the wait.
Great fit, even with the weight of a light attached to the side, stays put on the roughest rails.
Chinstrap took some adjusting to a comfy position as it’s in a slightly different placing to my old 661 helmet but works well.
Bug net does its job well.
Being such a snug fit, the padded liner does soak up a lot of moisture but is great that it comes out in 1 piece to be cleaned, hope these will be available to purchase separately.
Overall, great product, great reflective tape, offers great all around protection. Ended up having to buy 3 so my wife and daughter didn’t ‘borrow’ it.
